M36 Greatcoat (Ubermantel)

The M36 greatcoat was made to the same specifications as the M36 tunic with a dark green collar.

It was double breasted with two rows of buttons, deep slash pockets and turned back 'French' cuffs. At the back is a short 'belt' with two buttons. The greatcoat had to be worn fully buttoned unless the wearer wore a neck decoration such as the Ritterkreuz.

As with the tunics the M40 greatcoat lost the dark green collar and later models were made of a lower quality material.
