Beltring 2004 Photos
ln July 2004 Das Heer attended the War and Peace show at Beltring in Kent. We put on a 'Road to Dunkirk' scenario where we had just taken over abandoned hastily dug British positions. In and around these position were abandoned allied equipment and weapons. In the road were strewn personal effects dropped by fleeing French refugees. The display was very well received by other re-enactors and the public alike - one remarked that the personal effects made it even more real and that it emphasised the true cost of war.
Please note that the first seven photographs were used with the kind permission of Peter Riding at Ashton Lamont Photography. For further details please see our links page
